Manufacturing ballistic protection & lightweight armour

Scanfiber Composites A/S is specialized in the development and manufacturing of ballistic protection and light weight armour based on an advanced fibre composites.

In a hot pressing process high strength fibres and a matrix (“glue”) are transformed into a light weight panel which is an excellent protection against projectiles and fragments. Depending on the required level of ballistic protection, the composite panels can be used either alone or combined with ceramics or ballistic steel (which is extremely hard) to reach very high levels of protection.

At present Scanfiber can offer light weight solutions to offer ballistic protection up to 14,5 mm machine gun with armour piercing projectiles (according to NATO STANAG 4569 level 4).

Lightweight armour for vehicles, ships & aircrafts

Scanfibers light weight armour is primarily used in vehicles, ships or aircrafts where only minimal additional weight is allowed. Many resources are used for constantly developing and optimizing our range to minimize weight and to increase the level of protection.

Scanfibers is ISO 9001 certified and all our products are tested according to international standards by independent testing institutes.

Scanfiber has references from a wide range of projects going from army, navy, air force, police, Special Forces, relief organisations and many others.
